Classpad Tablet pc review, specification and details

Classpad Tablet pc is the new buzz word in the tablet segment in India. Aakash Tablet is already creating waves, ubslate 7+ is coming this year and now we are going to get another competitive priced tablet pc in the same segment named Classpad Tablet pc.

Classpad tablet pc is launched by a start up firm Classteacher Learning Systems which is being controlled by Indian institute of Technology and Indian institute of Management Calcutta’s alumni Rohit Pande. The Classpad tablet pc is priced in the range of Rs 7,500-14,000 and available in three models: Classpad 7, Classpad 8 and Classpad 10.

Classpad tablet pc is priced a bit higher than Aakash tablet and it is offering higer rich media and more apps. Classpad tablet comes with a engine of 1.3 Ghz clock speed processor. This device is powered by Android platform. It has got an internal memory of 4GB which can be expanded to 8GB. The device will be running on Android platform. The main aim of Classpad is to provide better user experience at the economical pricing and it is primarily targeting high tech users in the lower segment.

Classpad tablet’s launch is going to further heat up the competition in the lower segment of tablet pc market in India. Classpad tablet is promising to be better than Aakash tablet in terms of battery usage also. But as there is considerable difference between the pricing, user of Aakash tablet can afford to ignore it.

Classpad tablet is going to provide more apps so it will be touching users seeking entertainment also. With the recent development in education sector in India where government have been showing sign of moving towards high tech education systems, launch of Classpad tablet pc may further increase the number of options available to the government for their future projects.

Classteacher Learning Systems is planning sell this device through two business routes, the Trolley model and ‘one tablet per child’ (OTPC) model. In the Trolley model, the device can be used on a shared manner by paying Rs 100 per child, whereas in ‘one tablet per child’ (OTPC) model, the parents have to pay for the device.

Classpad tablet is definitely going to attract lot of attention of the college going students in India.
