Smart Eyeglass is the new buzzword in the Tech world. International Consumer Electronics or CES show has witnessed the launch of new smart eyeglass from Pixeloptics, a Virginia based company. So gradually we are moving into a new era of technology. So, it’s not smart tv or phone which is currently creating waves, it is Smart Eyeglass. One more company Vuzix is also coming with the similar products.
CES, which is currently being held in Las Vegas USA, has become the platform for the launches of these new and smart gadgets. These products are creating huge amount of the curiosity and excitement among the consumers. These developments will definitely make a new segment in the gadget market. Mark Graham, director of development at PixelOptics, said the company has developed technology for people who wear bifocal glasses, which are also known as progressives.
With traditional glasses, user will have to look out through either the top or bottom of the lenses depending upon whether user is looking at a distant object or close object. Smart Eyeglasses are going to make life easy for these users. Mark Graham further added that liquid crystal embedded in the lenses is electronically activated to switch the focus of the lenses.
Another Company which is in the limelight for these new innovative products of Smart Eyeglasses is Vuzix. Vuzix has made this announcement of showcasing their smart eyeglass in the CES some time before the show started and receiving great reviews for their new products. Vuzix is showing its Augmented Reality (AR) and Mobile Video Eyewear products in the show. Along with them, Vuzix is also show casing their new Smart Glass Technology.
Smart Glasses can be connected to the internet using the devices like smart phones. These new Smart Glasses are designed to work with connected devices like smart phones and allow the user to watch big screen movies or interact with augmented reality apps.
