Paid traffic or buying traffic is not considered by most of the bloggers and small businesses but it is a good way to quickly increase traffic to your website. Ranking excellent on search engines for every keyword on planet is the most desired status by bloggers and webmasters but it doesn’t happen that way.
Paid traffic or buying traffic from various service providers could be a very effective way of getting laser targeted traffic and it can significantly improve your business.
Paid Traffic Vs Free Traffic
Search traffic or free traffic is considered best because we as a human tend to prefer free stuff over paid but that doesn’t mean, free traffic is better than paid traffic.
Paid advertising is primarily used by big corporates and MNCs which often revolve around google adwords and Facebook ads but it should be used by anyone or everyone who is looking to make money online.
Most of the bloggers and small businesses chase search engine optimization and work hard on networking to generate traffic for their website but what they don’t realize is the fact that “Time is money”, so if it took 1 year to optimize your site to get good traffic from search engines, you have lost your business in that period.
Why Paid Traffic?
Search engine optimization cannot be ignored and is must for any kind of online business but those who want to make money out of their online ventures; they also need to consider paid traffic to push their business. SEO is the answer for your long term questions but in short term, paid traffic is an option worth exploring.
Buying traffic could be a good way but you need to optimize your campaign to get best results. People often don’t consider paid traffic as an option because they don’t know how to optimize it. As a result, they end up spending too much on it without any returns.
Paid advertising strategy requires you to first do a proper requirement analysis of your business and its objective. So if you have got a product to promote then you need to do first do thorough market research.
So for example, you are promoting a affiliate products which has got good demand and there is high competition. So you have written a review post on that but not getting enough traffic because your blog is competing with sites which have got more number of backlinks to their sites or have higher authority & hence you not getting higher rank on search engines.
Buying traffic for this with a targeted campaign on google adwords could generate great results for this. Similarly if you want to sell advertising space on your site and as you know, you need higher alexa rank to get better results.
Now we all know how flawed alexa’s ranking system is, you cannot make sure that your every visitors is using alexa toolbar which is a very important factor for your alexa rank.
so if you are a new blogger, it will take months to get high rank, so you can buy traffic from providers like Revisitors (alexa traffic package) to improve your alexa rank.
So it depends upon the purpose of buying traffic. All kind of paid traffic is not equally good. So when you buy traffic from revisitors or other similar providers, don’t expect to make good sales. They are there to improve your alexa rank.
So you have to plan according to your requirement.
As said earlier, paid traffic can serve your purpose provided you understand your true need and target on certain things instead of targeting everything.
Where to get Paid Traffic?
There are varieties of paid traffic sources. You should plan your campaign based upon targeted;
- Keyword
- Location
- Interest
- Expected
- Expected ROI
Some of the best marketplaces to buy traffic or for paid traffic are;
- Google adwords
- Microsoft adcenter
- Facebook ads
- Adbrite
- Chitika
- Zedo
- Admarketplace
- Adoori
- Revisitors (cheap packages to quickly improve your alexa rankings)
- Kontera
Search engine optimization is great but paid traffic is the best source to provide much needed relief for your business.

Paid traffic is a very bad technique because it is sapmming. Google hates it and if they find you doing so it will be the end of your SEO career.
Thank you for your post.Really looking forward to read more. Cool.
Really appreciate you sharing this blog post.
Paid traffic is some of the quickest traffic you can get to your website so its great for testing squeeze pages, checking responsiveness of ads and so forth. Be careful though. You can burn through lots of cash in a short time if you are not sure what you are doing.
Great post. Thanks for writing it.
Google adwords is the best, no doubt about that. if you provide good content and quality…. nothing can beat Adwords!
Another source of PPC ads that I’ve used in the past is Infolinks. Not sure if they are still around, but it;s a cheap source of traffic for ‘in text’ ads. I see a lot of forums monetizing their sites this way. Check it out 🙂
Hey Akhilendra
Really nice Website And Article I Want To buy paid Traffic But i Don’t Now Any Good Website.
We have to understand the importance of SEO and if you want it to work effectively with your business, you have to go to the right online marketing company to help you with it.
Personally, I find the results from paid traffic do not work as well as natural search results. When we are able to rank our blog natural, a lot of paid traffic cost can actually be cut down dramatically.
Well said Cindy, but the problem faced by the start ups like eCommerce site is that seo is a time consuming process so for them, it may be worth opting for paid traffic in the initial phase. But if not done correctly, poor results can take a toll on their fiscal. Thanks a lot for adding your input.
Some how i feel like it is worth buying traffic for blog it would really help to increase the traffic to your blog
Hi Akhilendra Back in the day before, social media and blogging became so popular. I use to spend a fair bit of my money on paid advertising. I think that paying for your traffic works best on squeeze pages, rather than on a blog page.
That’s true Paul, Paid traffic could be dangerous for a blogger. It is only worth when someone is selling something which can cover the cost. Thanks for sharing your feedback Paul, hope to see you again.
in my opinion it is not worth buying traffic it really does not help and also it is not the kind of audience we look out for.
Neil it depends upon your business, if you are promoting a product (own or affiliate) then depending upon your site’s seo level, paid traffic could be an option. For example, your site have high authority, great back links and are dominating search results, then you don’t need to go for that. But if someone’s blog is new or low at seo and not getting free traffic, then it is wasting time and efforts if they can’t generate enough sales. Paid traffic is an option for you. In fact, if you look at all the big MNCs, they all use paid traffic to get visitors despite having high level of seo.
Thanks for sharing your feedback with us, I am sure it will help many.
ya your are right after leaving the paid traffic, the traffic of the site gets low and the we start it as new, for that we can concentrate on the organic traffic thanks
Thanks Arjun for adding your valuable feedback.
