What is Glossary-Add Yours
If you look at search data, then “What is” the most search term. People tend to seek all kind of information which scattered all over internet. You visit different websites to learn many things. It could be something professional or personal. But the term “what is” remains constant throughout.
Therefore I have created this post to “what is Glossary” where I will add most searched “What is ” queries. It is a open ended post which will be updated constantly to include more and more terms.
If you want me to add something to it, simply leave your comment with suggestion or even better; leave your comment starting with “what is” to add whatever you like.
Please note objective of this post is to create and dynamic list of items and information and not any ruckus. Therefore please don’t ask or contribute something like Porn or drugs related information.

| What is API-Application Programming Interface | An API is a program which is used by developers to refer to a certain program and use the set of routines, instructions and programming information to develop a another program. For example, Google provide API for its variety of products which can be used by developers to develop their own products. |
| What is Asp.net | Asp.net is a server side framework to develop websites and web application using html, css, javascript and server scripting. |
| What is Ajax | Ajax stands for Asynchronous Javascript and xml, it is used to refresh a particular area in a application by sending limited information to backend which is helpful in improving performance. |
| What is Big Data | Big Data is a simple term which is used in information technology to refer to the data size which is huge and cannot be processed by conventional data management tools and techniques. |
| What is Cloud Computing | In simplest term, cloud computing is hosting content on online repositories and not on conventional hard disks. |
| What is CRM | CRM stands for customer relationship management which involve using technology to manage & synchronize sales, marketing, customer service and support. |
| What is Current Account Deficit | Current account deficit or CAD is encountered when a country’s import of goods, services and transfer is more than the country’s export of same. Higher current account deficit is considered bad for economy. |
| What is CDATA in XML | All text is parsed in a xml but text within CDATA may get ignored by the parser. CDATA means character data. It is consider as character data and not markup. |

| What is ERP | ERP is a abbreviation for enterprise resource planning which is a software application to manage business. It is driven by integrated by smaller software modules which are customized to suite the business process of a company. Example of ERP provider include SAP, Oracle and Microsoft etc. |
| What is Ethernet | Ethernet is a technology which is used to create local area network by using routers and modems. |
| What is firewall | Firewall literally means a wall to prevent the spread of fire. Firewall is a commonly used term in computing where firewall means a security network meant to prevent a system from hack attacks. It is achieved by usage of appropriate software and hardware. |
| What is food security bill | Food security bill is a legislation passed by Indian parliament to implement and manage food distribution in India. Under Food security bill, poor will avail food grain and cereals at subsidized rates. |

| What is HTML | HTML or hype text markup language is the primary markup language used to create websites. It is a set of tags which define content within those tags. |
